Advantages of Living Foods

Why Living Foods?

When you are born, your body contains a set amount of digestive and metabolic enzymes that are responsible for it's every function, including the digestion and assimilation of food. When we cook or chemically process food, we are in essence destroying the life giving enzymes and nutrients which are vital to our body‘s ability to efficiently convert that food into energy. When that happens, we expend extra enzyme reserves contained in our bodies to digest that food.

Over a period of time, as we begin to lose a large amount of these enzyme stores, we begin aging prematurely, due to toxicity and nutritional deficiencies that result. All living things contain enzymes and without them life is not possible. Theoretically, a high enzyme, highly nourishing, living food diet can slow down the aging process and help us avoid chronic diseases.

Living and Raw Foods are the Following Plant Based Foods:

  • Greens and sprouts
  • Vegetables / sea vegetables
  • Fruits
  • Seeds
  • Nuts
  • Legumes
  • Gluten-free and sprouted grains
  • Extra virgin plant or seed based oils or spreads

Preparation:

Living foods are never heated over 105 °F, in order to preserve the nutrient and enzyme content. Recipes are then blended, food processed, spiral sliced, diced, dehydrated at a low temperature, and food combined for optimal digestion.

Ultimately, High Quality Foods:

Are foods that have the most amount of nutrients available in the least amount of food, require the least amount of energy to digest and assimilate, and leave the environment of the body as cleanly as possible
when exiting.
